How does a temporary service work?
You simply tell us your needs (including skills and length of time needed) and we match and dispatch a qualified Roper employee(s) to your location. Once the job is complete you call and we then find our employee another assignment.

Planned Staffing: Through attrition, replaces high turnover or entry level positions with cost-effective custom-hired staffers.
On-site Management: Compliments the use of Planned Staffing by providing an on-site supervisor, enabling your supervisors to concentrate on their responsibilities.
Try Before You Hire: Allows you to try an employee in your job opening before making a commitment.
Payrolling: Lets you utilize retirees or other personnel you recruit without adding them to your payroll.
Direct Hire: Widens the search for your job opening to 100% of the available labor market.
Customized Downtime Workforce: Allows you to utilize capital equipment of facilities with a special workforce that works when your employees are off.

How long must I keep a Roper employee before I can hire them?
520 hours is the minimum hours required to hire a Roper employee. This will give you time to evaluate the employee's performance, work ethic, and fit before making a hiring commitment.

How do you test your employees?
We have a wide variety of standardized tests available through SkillCheck, Inc.. Listed is a sampling of some of the tests we are able to administer: all major software packages including operating systems, typing, data entry, grammar, phone skills, reception skills, accounting and more. Reading, writing, general math and safety awareness are some of the tests available for our light industrial employees. Roper will be happy to administer specific testing upon request.

Do you offer a guarantee?
Yes. Should any Roper employee fail to meet the standards of your company, please let us know within the first eight (8) hours of their assignment and there will be no charge.

What does your bill rate include?
The Roper employee's hourly wage, State Unemployment Insurance, Federal Unemployment Insurance, F.I.C.A. and Workers Compensation.

How do you bill for your services?
You will need to sign the Roper employee's timecard at the end of each week to verify the hours worked. On the following Wednesday an invoice is generated based on the signed timecard and will include the employee name, hours worked (regular and overtime), the hourly bill rate, department worked, and a total bill amount. Our terms are "Net due upon receipt".

What types of prescreening/background checks are available?
We conduct reference verifications on all Roper employees. In addition, drug screens, criminal checks, credit checks, education verification, and motor vehicle checks are available upon request.

What if the employee you send does not meet my criteria?
Just give us a call and we will remove the employee and find a replacement. If you let us know within the first eight hours of assignment, there will be no charge.
